The journey

Getting from Woolwich to Wembley

From Woolwich the driver takes the A102 through the Blackwall Tunnel and up to the A406 North Circular, then around or through London to Wembley.

The last few miles are the A406 North Circular and Wembley Hill Road or Empire Way. Event-day road closures mean the driver drops you as close as the police cordon allows.

  • About 21 miles, usually 35–50 min outside event traffic
  • Our cars are ULEZ-compliant, so there is no emissions charge
  • Drop-off planned around event-day road closures
  • Fixed fare, no surge after the final whistle
Get the timing right

Event-day timing from Woolwich

Traffic around Wembley builds two to three hours before a big event, and the roads nearest the venue are closed or restricted on major event days.

Big matches and stadium concerts

Aim to arrive at least 90 minutes before kick-off or doors; leave extra time for the North Circular.

Arena shows

For OVO Arena Wembley shows, arriving an hour before doors is usually enough.

Getting home

Leaving the area takes time for everyone. We agree a pickup point a short walk from the venue to avoid the worst of the queues.

Tell us the event and the start time and we suggest a pickup time. Returns can be booked at the same time.

Pre-booked vs app vs train

Why pre-book a car to Wembley from Woolwich

By public transport you would start at Woolwich Arsenal station, cross London and finish on the Jubilee or Metropolitan line to Wembley Park, or Chiltern Railways to Wembley Stadium station. On event days the stations are very crowded afterwards.

App prices surge hard at Wembley when an event finishes, and drivers can struggle to reach the pickup zones.

A pre-booked car has a fixed price both ways, a named driver, and a meeting point agreed before the day.

  • Fixed fare agreed before you travel
  • Saloon (sedan), executive, MPV, 8-seater or 9-seater minibus
  • Free child seats and boosters
  • Card, cash or invoice with nothing added
  • Licensed, DBS-checked drivers
After the event

Getting home after the show

Book the return with your outward trip, or send us a message before the event ends.

We agree a pickup point a short walk from the venue, away from the closed roads, and the driver texts you when they arrive.

If the event overruns, the driver waits. Late-night returns cost the same fixed fare.

The drive home to Woolwich is usually quicker once the event traffic clears, and we drop you at your door anywhere in Woolwich, Plumstead, Charlton, Shooters Hill and the Royal Arsenal.

How to choose. Public transport wins on price for one traveller with hand luggage at 10am. A taxi usually wins when there are two or more of you (one fare for the car, not per person), when you have hold bags or a pushchair, for flights before the first train arrives or landings after the last one leaves, and when a change of train or a station without lifts would be a problem. Rail fares above are per adult; add £4–£6 per person for the DART/shuttle where shown, and remember engineering work most weekends.
