Taxi Fares & Price List
Every fare on this page is already published somewhere on our site — we've just pulled it all into one place. No meter, no surge pricing, no card-machine surprises: the price you're quoted is the price you pay, agreed before the driver sets off.
Why You Won't See A Meter
Every fare on this page is a guide price for a standard saloon (sedan) (up to 4 passengers, 2 large cases), one way, with any terminal drop-off charge and ULEZ already included where relevant. Your exact price depends on your specific pick-up postcode, the vehicle size you need and passenger count — but it's always agreed and confirmed before you travel, never estimated on a meter that keeps running in traffic. If your route isn't listed below, message us your pickup and destination for an instant, guaranteed quote.

Fixed Airport & Cruise Fares From Our Home Towns
These are complete one-way prices for a saloon (sedan) (up to 4 passengers and 2 large cases). We checked them against other licensed operators serving Bromley, Bexley and Dartford, and set ours at or below the typical local price. The price you see is the price you pay, at any hour and on any day of the year.
| From | Gatwick | Heathrow | Stansted | Luton | London City | Southampton cruise | Dover cruise |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Bromley, Beckenham & Chislehurst | £65 | £75 | £84 | £90 | £55 | £150 | £155 |
| Orpington & Petts Wood | £68 | £76 | £88 | £95 | £58 | £148 | £150 |

| Sevenoaks | £55 | £105 | £95 | £108 | £65 | £150 | £135 |
Bigger cars
An estate or MPV costs about 12% more than the saloon (sedan) fare, an executive E-Class about 35% more, and an 8-seater about 50% more. A return trip costs 1.9 times the single fare, so the second leg is 10% off.
What the fare includes
- Airport drop-off charges at Heathrow, Gatwick, Stansted, Luton and London City, plus arrivals parking when we collect you.
- Flight tracking, a name-board meet-and-greet in arrivals, and 60 minutes' free waiting from the time your flight actually lands.
- Child and booster seats on request, at no extra cost.
- No surge pricing: the same fare at night, at weekends and on bank holidays.
Local and other journeys
Short local trips start at £8. That covers the first couple of miles. After that it's £2.40 a mile up to 10 miles, then £1.30 a mile, so longer journeys cost less per mile. If your journey starts or ends inside the London Congestion Charge zone, the £18 daily charge is added to your quote. Enter both addresses in the booking form to see your exact fixed price before you pay.

Price List Questions
Are these prices per person or per vehicle?
Per vehicle, not per passenger. A saloon (sedan) carries up to 4 people and 2 large cases for the single fare shown — split between a group, it's often cheaper than the train.
Do you charge extra for airport drop-off or ULEZ?
No — where a route involves an airport drop-off charge or crosses the ULEZ zone, that's already built into the fixed fare shown. What you're quoted is what you pay.
What if my route isn't listed here?
Message us your exact pickup and destination on WhatsApp or by phone and we'll give you an instant, guaranteed fixed quote — every route we don't have listed is still priceable in minutes.
Do prices change at night or on bank holidays?
No — your fare is fixed at the time of booking regardless of when you travel. There's no late-night surcharge or holiday surge pricing.
Can I get a larger vehicle for the same fixed-fare structure?
Yes — estate cars, MPVs and V Class minivans are available for bigger groups or extra luggage. The fares above are saloon (sedan) guide prices; larger vehicles are quoted individually.

Reaching Heathrow or Gatwick from SE London on 25 December
Does anything run to Heathrow on Christmas Day? Not by public transport. There are no Tube, Elizabeth line, Heathrow Express, National Rail or TfL bus services on 25 December. Flights still operate, so the only way to the airport is by car or taxi.
From Bromley, Orpington or Sidcup, Heathrow is a long cross-London drive, usually round the M25 or through town. Roads are quiet on Christmas morning, but allow your normal journey time anyway in case of closures. Gatwick is much closer for most of south-east London and is an easier run on the day.
- Book early. Fewer drivers work on Christmas Day, and slots go weeks ahead.
- Ask for the fare at booking, including any holiday rate, so there are no surprises.
- Confirm the night before. Check the pick-up time and your terminal.
- Flying on the 26th? Rail services are limited on Boxing Day too, so check timetables before relying on a train.
Q: Do trains run to Heathrow on Christmas Day?
A: No. The Tube, Elizabeth line and Heathrow Express do not run on 25 December, and nor do TfL buses. A pre-booked car or taxi is the only way to get there.
Black cab, Uber or a local minicab in south-east London?
Which is cheaper or safer, a black cab or Uber, and can you hail a cab? In central London you can hail a black cab whenever its yellow TAXI sign is lit. Fares are metered at rates set by TfL, the drivers have passed the Knowledge, and every licensed cab is wheelchair accessible.
Out in Bromley, Bexley or Orpington you will rarely see one cruising for fares. Here private hire does most of the work: app-based services and local minicab firms. Both must be booked in advance by law. App prices can rise sharply at busy times, while a local firm will normally tell you the fare when you book.
- Black cab: best for short hops in town and when someone needs a ramp.
- App: handy in central London, less predictable late at night in outer boroughs.
- Local firm: suits station runs, airport trips and booked journeys home.
On safety, all three are fine when properly licensed and booked. The risk lies with unbooked cars that approach you in the street.
Q: Can I hail a black cab in Bromley?
A: You can if one passes with its TAXI light on, but they are rare in outer south-east London. Most people book a minicab or use an app instead.
After midnight: what still runs towards south-east London
What runs after midnight, and is it safe? On Friday and Saturday nights the Night Tube runs on the Central, Victoria, Jubilee, Northern and Piccadilly lines. For south-east London the useful one is the Jubilee, which serves Canada Water and North Greenwich. The Windrush line of the Overground also runs all night on those two nights between Highbury and Islington and New Cross Gate.
None of this reaches Bromley, Bexley, Sidcup, Orpington or Dartford, and Southeastern trains do not run through the night. Night buses fill the gap, but journeys out to the suburbs can be long, with changes.
- On night buses, sit downstairs near the driver.
- The Night Tube is staffed and has CCTV; choose a busy carriage.
- Check your last train home before you go out, not at midnight.
- For the final leg from North Greenwich or New Cross Gate, a short booked car is often quicker than a second night bus.
Q: Does the Night Tube go to south-east London?
A: Only partly. The Jubilee line runs all night on Fridays and Saturdays as far as North Greenwich, and the Windrush line runs to New Cross Gate. Further out, you need a night bus or a car.
How to check a local minicab is properly licensed
How do you know a minicab is licensed and safe to book? In London every private hire operator, driver and vehicle must be licensed by TfL. The checks take seconds.
- Book through a licensed operator. TfL has an online licence checker, and a genuine firm will happily give you its operator licence number.
- Look for the licence disc. Licensed minicabs display a TfL private hire disc on the windscreen.
- Check the driver. Drivers carry TfL photo ID. Ask for the driver's name and the car registration when you book, then match them before you get in.
- Never take an unbooked car. A minicab that stops for you in the street, or a driver touting outside a station or club, is acting illegally and is not insured for that trip.
Dartford is in Kent, where the borough council licenses minicabs rather than TfL, but the same checks apply. Booking through a local office you can phone gives you a record of the journey and someone to call if anything goes wrong.
Q: How can I tell if a minicab is licensed in London?
A: Check for the TfL private hire disc on the windscreen and the driver's TfL photo ID, and only use a car you have booked through a licensed operator. TfL's online checker confirms operator licences.
Christmas Day in London: what is open and how to get about
Is there really no transport on 25 December, and what is open? There is no Tube, bus, Overground, DLR or National Rail service in London on Christmas Day. Most shops, museums and attractions close as well. What stays open: hotels, pubs and restaurants serving booked Christmas lunches, and the parks.
- Keep the day local. A morning walk in Greenwich Park or by the river at Greenwich is a popular south-east London tradition.
- Visiting family across town? Cars and taxis are the only option. Fewer drivers work, so book days ahead and agree the fare when you book.
- Fix the return time too. Finding a car late on Christmas evening is hard.
On Boxing Day a reduced Tube and bus service returns, but many National Rail routes in south-east London stay closed or run limited trains. Check before planning a trip into town for the sales.
Q: Do any buses run on Christmas Day in London?
A: No. TfL runs no buses, Tube or rail services on 25 December. Plan to walk locally or book a car in advance.
New Year's Eve fireworks: tickets, and getting home to SE London
Do you need a ticket for the New Year's Eve fireworks, which area should you pick, and can you watch for free? The official riverside viewing areas have been ticketed since 2014, and tickets sell out fast. For 31 December 2026, no release date had been announced by mid-October, so register for updates on the Mayor of London's website.
Without a ticket you will not get close to the river around Westminster and the Embankment. The area is fenced, nearby stations close or become exit-only, and arriving late is not a good plan.
- Some high ground in south-east London gives a distant view of the skyline. Expect cold, crowds and a partial view.
- A local pub or party is often the more comfortable choice.
- If you do go into town, check late train times back to Bromley, Bexley and Dartford well in advance. They differ from a normal night.
- Book any car home days before. Demand after midnight is enormous.
Q: Can I watch the London fireworks without a ticket?
A: Not from the official riverside areas, which are fenced and ticketed. You can see distant views from high ground elsewhere, but not the close-up display.
Getting home safely to Bromley, Bexley or Dartford after a night out
How do you get home safely late at night when the trains have stopped? Plan the end of the night before it begins.
- Know your last train. Last trains from central London to Orpington, Sidcup, Bexleyheath and Dartford leave earlier than many people expect, especially on Sundays. Check on the day, as engineering works change times.
- Book before you need it. Arrange a car for a set time, or ring your local firm as you leave. Demand peaks when pubs and clubs close.
- Wait inside. Stay in the venue until the driver confirms they have arrived.
- Share the details. Send a friend the car registration and your expected time home.
- Agree the plan as a group. Decide who is going where before anyone splits off.
When you are dropped off, ask the driver to wait until you are inside your front door. It costs nothing and is a sensible habit late at night.
Q: What should I do if I miss the last train home to Bexley or Dartford?
A: Stay somewhere busy and well lit, and book a licensed car rather than accepting a ride from anyone who approaches you. Night buses are an option but can be slow to outer south-east London.
