Greenwich airport fares, per car
Every fare below is for the whole car, not per person, and is fixed when you book. Tolls, the Dartford Crossing charge where the route uses it, and airport drop-off charges are inside the price. Waiting time is included for the first hour after landing on airport pickups. These are the same fares shown on our Greenwich route pages.

Where we pick up in Greenwich
Knowing the right spot saves more time than knowing the fastest road. These are the pickup points we use, and why.
- Greenwich station and Cutty Sark. The town centre one-way system is busy with coaches and visitors, so we set the pickup on a side street close to your address rather than on Greenwich Church Street.
- Greenwich Peninsula. Hotels and flats around North Greenwich have proper set-down areas; give us the building name and the driver waits at the front.
- Maze Hill and East Greenwich. Residential streets east of the park are the easiest place for a car to wait, and a good choice for an early start.
- Blackheath. The village is a short hop up the hill; we collect from the door on any of the roads around the heath.
Getting out of Greenwich: what actually matters
Greenwich is close to central London, but the road out is the thing to plan around. The A102 to the Blackwall Tunnel is the main way north, and the Silvertown Tunnel now gives a second crossing. Both are tolled, and any toll on the route is inside the fixed fare.
London City Airport is the shortest airport run from SE10. For Heathrow the driver crosses south London on the A2 and the South Circular or goes through the centre, depending on the time of day. For Stansted the route goes through the tunnel and up the A12 or the M11.
The Cutty Sark, the Royal Observatory, the Old Royal Naval College and the O2 bring large crowds, and late-night event traffic around the Peninsula can be heavy. We set event pickups away from the main crowds so the car can actually reach you.
Areas we cover from Greenwich
Greenwich, West Greenwich, East Greenwich, Greenwich Peninsula, Maze Hill, Westcombe Park, Blackheath, Charlton and the Deptford border. If you are just outside this list, ask – we cover the whole Bromley, Bexley and Dartford corridor and will tell you honestly if a job is better placed with someone closer.

A Greenwich day out from Bromley, Bexley or Sidcup
How do you get to Greenwich, by boat or DLR? Should you visit the Royal Observatory and the Cutty Sark, and how steep is the hill? Visitors from central London usually come by Uber Boat to Greenwich Pier or by DLR to Cutty Sark. From south-east London it is simpler. Greenwich is close by car, and Southeastern and Thameslink trains stop at Greenwich and Maze Hill.
- Cutty Sark: Beside the pier and easy for children and anyone who prefers flat ground.
- National Maritime Museum and Queen's House: Free, at the foot of Greenwich Park.
- Royal Observatory: At the top of the park. The path up is short but steep. Go for the Prime Meridian line and the view across to Canary Wharf.
If anyone struggles with hills, get dropped at the top of the park near the Observatory on Blackheath Avenue and walk downhill through the park instead. Finish with the boat into town for the river views, or a car home from the pier.
Q: Is the walk up to the Royal Observatory hard?
A: It is short but steep. If walking uphill is difficult, arrive by car at the top of Greenwich Park and walk down past the Observatory to the museums.
Event nights at the O2, The Valley and Crystal Palace
How do you get to and from the O2, Charlton or Crystal Palace on event days? Each venue has its own pinch point.
- The O2: North Greenwich station on the Jubilee line is right outside, but queues after big shows are long. Uber Boat from North Greenwich Pier and the cable car to the Royal Docks are alternatives if you are heading north or west.
- The Valley, Charlton Athletic: A short walk from Charlton station, on Southeastern and Thameslink routes. Trains are packed straight after the final whistle.
- Selhurst Park, Crystal Palace FC: Selhurst, Thornton Heath and Norwood Junction stations are all walkable.
- Crystal Palace Park concerts: Use Crystal Palace or Penge West stations.
From Bromley, Bexley or Sidcup, the easiest plan is a car pick-up agreed in advance, a few streets away from the venue. That avoids both the station queues and the road closures. Choose a meeting point you can find easily in the dark.
Q: What is the nearest station to The O2?
A: North Greenwich on the Jubilee line, right next to the venue. Expect queues after big concerts.
Greenwich taxi questions
Are Blackwall or Silvertown Tunnel tolls extra?
No. If the route uses a tolled tunnel, the charge is already inside the fixed fare.
Can you collect after an event at the O2?
Yes. Tell us the event and finish time and we agree a pickup point a short walk from the venue to avoid the worst of the queues.
Do you cover Blackheath and Charlton?
Yes, both at the same fixed Greenwich fares, with door-to-door pickup.
